The best WhatsApp Cloud API providers

Every provider here connects the same Cloud API, because it is Meta's and there is only one. What differs is how they charge, and that divides them into three groups cleanly: a fee per message, a fee per seat, or a fee per connected number.

The three pricing models, which is the real choice

Feature lists blur together because the API underneath is identical. How the bill is calculated does not blur, and it decides what you pay as the business grows.

Providers that charge per message

The CPaaS group. Twilio publishes US$ 0.005 per message inbound and outbound on top of Meta's fees. Gupshup publishes a standard US$ 0.001 per message. Bird quotes a blended rate with Meta's fee already inside it, so the markup is real but cannot be checked against Meta's published rate. Infobip quotes per destination country through sales. All four are capable platforms, and all four make your platform bill a function of your message volume.

Providers that charge per seat

The inbox group. SleekFlow, Wati and Respond.io sell a shared inbox with campaigns and automation, priced per user with plan tiers and, in several cases, an add-on per WhatsApp number. This is the right purchase if you want your team working inside one product all day. It is the wrong one if your team already has a CRM, because you pay for the second inbox regardless of whether anyone opens it.

Providers that charge per number

The infrastructure group, and the smallest. EasyCoexistence charges from US$ 9 per connected number per month, falling to US$ 0.75 as you add numbers, with nothing per message and no seats. Dualhook is the other specialist with a published per-number price. The model suits a business that already has a system and wants WhatsApp to reach it, and an agency holding many client numbers, where a falling per-number rate compounds.

Where the models cross over

Worth calculating rather than assuming, and the arithmetic is short.

What none of them change

Worth knowing before a feature comparison persuades you of something.

Frequently asked questions

Is one provider's Cloud API faster than another's?

No. It is Meta's API in every case. A provider can only change what sits in front of it and what they charge.

Which model is cheapest?

Per number, above modest volume. At Twilio's published rate the crossover is around 1,800 messages a month; at Gupshup's, around 9,000.

Do I need a provider at all?

To reach the Cloud API on a number already running the WhatsApp Business app, yes: Coexistence onboarding requires a Meta Tech Provider.

Who bills me for messages?

Meta, if your provider does not resell. With us Meta invoices you directly and we never mark it up.
